Here is a tutorial so that you can make glitter graphics using the glitter fills I offer on this site. Please don't redistribute this tutorial or claim authorship of it. If you need any help with it, please contact me with your question. Firstly, if you don't already have Paint Shop Pro (any version higher than 6 should work for this) and Animation Shop, you'll need to download trial versions of them. You can download Paint Shop Pro here and Animation Shop here. Once you have those downloaded and installed, you're ready to begin :) Step One: Choose the glitter fill you wish to use and save it onto your computer. Once this is done, open both Paint Shop Pro and Animation Shop. Step Two: Bring up Animation Shop and open the glitter fill which you just saved on your computer. Once open, it will look something like this:
Step Three: When you right click on the individual frames in Animation Shop, this is the menu of your options. Click "copy" and then paste them individually into Paint Shop Pro.
Step Four: Once the frames are pasted into Paint Shop Pro, open a new canvas (the size I use is 400x300) and specify the dimensions as the following (make sure you check "transparent"):
Step Five: Next, go to your Materials Palette and click on the background (right most) color. When you do, a window will pop up with a color wheel and several tabs on it. Click the tab "Pattern". The Pattern tab will have a menu. When you click on the menu, you'll see your three frames from the glitter fill. Select the first one and then click "Ok".
Step Six: After you select the tile you want to use, you should see the first frame from the glitter fill as the background on your Materials Palette (see picture below if this confuses you). Next, go to the "font" tool and select a font you wish to use. Glitters tend to look better in wider, larger font sizes. I use a font called "Moonstar" in this tutorial. Set your "create as" attribute to "Floating" and then type your word on the canvas you opened before. Once you're finished, copy the text image to your clipboard and paste it into Animation Shop.
Step Seven: Repeat Step Six but substitute the other frames for the first one you did (also, in order to paste something into the same animation from Paint Shop Pro into Animation Shop, press "ctrl + shift + L"). See the visual below if this confuses you:
Step Eight: Lastly, save your animation as a .gif file in Animation Shop and you're all done!
